Hello everyone. Shirley Powell has been working with the Community Life Directorat Westminster Woods regarding the resumption of Communion Services there. There are at least ten Catholic residents, most from our parish. She is updating the outline for the service as well as the procedure guidelines. With that said, she needs to know who is willaing and able to assist with this endevor to take the next steps.. Shirley is hoping to have a Eucharistic Minister, a Lector, and a Cantor participate in each service. Following is a message from Shirley. CALLING ALL DISCIPLES!!!
Westminster Woods has at least ten Catholic residents. They are willing to allow us to resume Catholic Communion Services there and, we no longer have to jump through hoops to conduct them. We are looking for a few people to be involved with each service. If you are already taking communion to a resident there, you don’t have to relinquish that special connection, but if you miss a week, there would be backup for you. A number of you participated in this special ministry in the past, and we are hopeful that you will do it again, and recruit a friend to join you. We certainly have been invited by Father and Deacon Don to do more this year. Here is a wonderful opportunity to bring Christ to others. We will be happy to go over the guidelines with you. Please respond positively immediately. Thank you, in advance, for your prayerful consideration.
Thank you, and have a good day!
Best,
Susan
